How it works.

No mystery and no hourly surprises. Here’s how a project goes from a first call to something you own.

The steps

Four steps, no mystery.

  1. 01

    Free intro call

    30 minutes

We talk through where the work gets stuck and what success would look like. I’ll ask a lot of questions, check what tools you already use, and suggest a practical next step.

    You’ll need
Nothing formal. Screenshots or the spreadsheet you’re fighting with help if you have them.
    You get
A practical next step, and a clear sense of what’s worth building.
  2. 02

    Fixed quote

    Before any work starts

I turn the call into a written scope: what I’ll build, what it will cost, and how long it will take. The price is fixed, so there are no hourly surprises.

    You’ll need
Your go-ahead. Nothing starts until you’ve agreed to the scope.
    You get
A written scope, a fixed price, and a timeline for your project specifically.
  3. 03

    Design & build

    2–4 weeks · websites4–8 weeks · software

You see how it will look and work before it’s built. Then I build it and share progress as I go, so what ships is the thing you actually wanted, not a surprise at the end.

    You’ll need
Quick feedback when I share progress, and access to the tools it needs to connect to.
    You get
Regular progress updates in plain language.
  4. 04

    Launch & handover

    Then a 30-day fix window

It goes live in your name, with plain-language docs on how it works and how to keep it current. Anything that breaks in the first 30 days is fixed at no cost, and I stay reachable after that.

    You’ll need
Your own accounts for hosting and any tools, so everything is set up in your name.
    You get
Something you fully own, the docs to run it, and support only if you want it.

At handover

What you get.

01

You own everything

The code, hosting and accounts are in your name from day one. Nothing is locked to me.

02

Written handover

Plain-language docs on how it works and how to keep it current, so anyone can pick it up.

03

30-day fix window

Anything that breaks in the first 30 days after launch is fixed at no cost.

04

Support if you want it

Ongoing support for updates and changes is available, never required.

Questions

Questions, answered.

What do I need to prepare for the first call?

Nothing formal. Describe the problem the way you’d explain it to a colleague. Screenshots or the spreadsheet you’re fighting with help if you have them.

Can you work with the tools we already use?

Usually, yes. A lot of my work is connecting the systems you already have rather than replacing them. We’ll check on the intro call.

What if I’m not sure what I need?

That’s what the intro call is for. Tell me where the work gets stuck, and I’ll suggest a practical next step.

How much does a project cost?

It depends on what we’re building, so every project gets a fixed quote after a free 30-minute call. You’ll know the price and timeline before any work starts.

How long does it take?

Websites usually take 2–4 weeks. Custom software, automations and integrations usually take 4–8 weeks, depending on scope.

Who owns what you build?

You do. The code, hosting and accounts are set up in your name, and you get plain-language handover docs, so nothing is locked to me.

What happens after launch?

Anything that breaks in the first 30 days is fixed at no cost. After that, ongoing support is available if you want it, and you’re never required to take it.

Do you work with businesses outside Kansas City?

Yes. I’m based in Kansas City and work with clients anywhere, remotely.
